Using Text-To-Speech on a Chromebook

    Select & hear text

    1. Highlight the text you want to hear out loud.
    2. Press the Search Key Search icon - Free download on Iconfinder + s.

    Option 2

    1. Press and hold the Search Key Search icon - Free download on Iconfinder.
    2. Drag the pointer over an area of text you want read out loud. 

    Option 3

    1. At the bottom right, near the time, select Select-to-Speak Picture1.png .
    2. Drag the pointer over an area of text you want read out loud.

    Tip: If you’re on a touchscreen, tap a line of text or drag your finger over an area of the screen.

    To STOP Select-to-Speak while it’s reading, press Ctrl or the Search Key You can also select Stop Picture2.png in the bottom right corner of your screen.
