General Troubleshooting
Check your device
- Check if the microphone, speakers, or headphones are plugged in and unmuted.
- Unplug the device, then plug it back in.
- If it is a Bluetooth device, ensure that it is turned on and connected properly.
- Ensure that no other applications are using the microphone at the same time.
- Ensure that your computer speakers are not muted.
Test your audio
- Click the small arrow next to the microphone icon to open the audio menu.
- Click "Audio Settings..." to open the Settings window.
- Click the button to test your speaker. This test plays music. If you don't hear any sound, use the menu to select another device.
- Click the button to test your microphone. This test records you speaking into the microphone and then plays it back. You must speak for this to work, clapping or snapping your fingers does not work for this test. If you don't hear your voice during the playback, try another microphone.
Teams
- Click the three-dot menu next to your profile picture, then click Settings.
- Click Devices in the left column, then use the Make a test call button. This will record audio for a few seconds and then play it back to you. If you don't hear the audio playback try another microphone.
